Once Again, Toyota is Tops in Automotive Innovation

Toyota is the top automotive innovator in the United States, for the third straight year. According to the recently-released "Top 300 Organizations Granted U.S. Patents in 2016" report from the Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO), Toyota was granted 1,540 United States patents in 2016 -- more than any other auto maker. In fact, Toyota was the only car maker to earn a spot among the top 20 patent awardees -- joining famed innovators like Microsoft, Apple, Google and IBM.

Toyota Camry Takes Home Top Prize in J.D. Power Vehicle Dependability Study

Toyota Motor North America (TMNA) came in third overall and placed highest among non-premium brands in the 2017 J.D. Power U.S. Vehicle Dependability Study (VDS). It also took home seven out of 18 segment awards.
